Sensex inches up 27 points, Nifty 50 ends above 24,350; mid, small-caps underperform
The Sensex closed at 78,520.30, rising modestly by 27 points, or 0.03%, while the Nifty 50 ended at 24,364.85, gaining 11 points, or 0.05%. The Nifty Midcap 100 index slipped 0.18%, while the Nifty Smallcap 100 index dropped 0.45%.
